WE BELIEVE IN THE TRINITY

We believe the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are God(Matthew 3:13:17, 28:18-20). We believe they are one in essence, yet relationally distinct. We confess this is a mystery far exceeding the limits of humanity’s comprehension, but entirely complementary to the infinite God revealed in the life of Jesus Christ.

WE BELIEVE JESUS IS THE SON OF GOD

Jesus’ sonship not only affirms his divinity, it reveals his mission (John 3:16-17). Consequently, we look to Jesus as the basis of salvation and the model for our relationship with the Father (Roman 8:28). His sacrifice offers us new life and provides the pattern by which humanity can truly live.

WE BELIEVE THE SPIRIT IS PRESENT

We believe the Holy Spirit was sent by God to dwell among people until Christ’s return (John 15:26). He is the living presence of God in our lives and is active convicting, drawing, converting, and transforming humanity for God’s purposes (Acts 2:38, Gal 4:6,1, Cor 12:13). The Spirit does not just make people more like God’s son he also confirms our own adoption (2 Cor 1:22).

WE BELIEVE THE BIBLE IS THE WORD OF GOD

Working in time and space God successfully recorded in print exactly what humanity needs to know- a process we call inspiration (2 Tim 3:16–17). The Bible is the primary and objective source of revelation in the life of the believer. As a lamp to our feet and a light to our path, it shows the way forward.

WE BELIEVE SALVATION IS THE GRACE OF GOD

Apart from God mankind is lost in sin and in life. People are spiritually dead (Rom 3:23). Humanity is not just spiritually ignorant in need of information, apathetic in need of motivation, they resent God’s claim to ultimate leadership in life (Rom 7). As a rebel men and women are in need of peace. That peace was secured on a cross when God’s Son was offered on their behalf. We believe this is entirely the work of God’s grace for mankind and the hope man most desperately needs (Eph 2:8-10).

WE BELIEVE DISCIPLESHIP IS THE CALL OF GOD

Trusting Jesus and obeying the gospel means disciples follow Jesus to baptism where they begin an amazing journey (Matt 28:18-20). Jesus is not just the way to God; He is the way of God (Rom 8:29). We believe that becoming like Jesus takes God’s grace, the presence of his Holy Spirit, understanding the part one plays in God’s EPIC story, and the willingness of believers to follow Jesus, not just be a fan. Every week disciples meet Jesus at his table and every day they take him into their lives.

WE BELIEVE ETERNAL LIFE IS THE PROMISE OF GOD

“And this is eternal life, that they know you the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent” (John 17: 3). In a saving relationship with God we find purpose, peace, and eternal life. This eternal life means we will enjoy living with God in heaven forever and it means we experience his presence as we attempt to live out God’s will on earth. Life now and forever, we believe it’s a promise of God.
